The label features a painting of a Pronghorn Antelope by Montana artist Diana Whitehead. The Pronghorn Antelope, North America’s fastest land mammal. Unfortunately, there has been a 98% decrease in the population of the Pronghorn Antelope since the 1800s, because of habitat destruction. Brendon Coyle was staying at a Bed and Breakfast near the Bruichladdich distillery, on the Island of Islay, when he tasted a dessert of ripe honeydew melon which had been drizzled with heated syrup. The jackalope is a cross between a jack rabbit and antelope, rumored to have lived in the old west.
