Coffee Cocktails with Irish Whiskey

If you are bored of the traditional Irish Coffee, here are 14 cocktails that combine the complimentary flavors of Irish whiskey and coffee. Perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or any day!


After Eight

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) White Crème de Cacao

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Crème de Menthe Liqueur

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Demerara Simple Syrup

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Hot Coffee

Stir. Garnish with whipped cream.

Bartenders Breakfast

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Jameson Caskmates Stout Irish Whiskey

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Kahlua Salted Caramel

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Cold Brew Coffee

  • ¼ - ½ oz (7.5 – 15 ml) Simple Syrup

Shake with ice and strain over fresh ice. Garnish with three coffee beans.

Bite Me I’m Irish

  • 3 oz (90 ml) Gator Bite Coffee Liqueur

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • 3 oz (90 ml) Cold Brew Coffee

Build in glass, add ice, and stir. Garnish with whipped cream.

Choco Coffee

Shake over ice.

Donkey Kick

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Coffee Liqueur

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Guiness

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Pineapple Juice

  • 1 squeeze of Lemon

Shake over ice. Garnish with lemon twist.

Dublin Iced Coffee

Fill a glass with ice, add all ingredients except for the cream. Stir to combine. Slowly pour the cream over the top for the drink. Garnish with freshly grated cinnamon.

Irish Breakfast

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Coffee Liqueur

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Orange Juice

  • 1 Egg White

Separate egg white into one shaker tin and the remaining ingredients into the other, add a few ice cubes and shake for 30 seconds, strain out ice and shake for another 20 seconds. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with grated nutmeg.

Irish Coffee Old Fashioned

Stir all ingredients with ice and strain over fresh ice. Garnish with an orange wheel.

Irish Express

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Jameson Cold Brew Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Irish Cream Liqueur

    • Recommendation - Skip the Bailey’s, or the cheap stuff, and use Five Farms Irish Cream

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Orange Juice

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Honey Syrup

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Cold Brew Coffee

Shaken. Garnish with orange zest.

Irish Morning

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Bushmills Black Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Coffee Liqeuer

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Irish Cream Liqueur (My favorite is Five Farms)

Shake with ice, strain, serve up.

Irish Setter Iced Coffee

Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker briefly with ice, roll into pint glass. Garnish with whipped cream & chocolate sprinkles.

Rose & O’Connors

Shake with ice, strain, and serve up. Garnish with rose pedal.

Salted Honey Iced Latte

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Irish Cream

    • Note - You can use heavy cream instead to reduce the alcoholic content

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Honey Syrup

    • Warm equal parts honey and water until combined into a syrup

  • 3 oz (90 ml) Cold Brew Coffee

  • 1 dash of Salt

Shaken with ice, strain over fresh ice.

The Necessary Force

Shake with ice, strain, and serve up in a coupe or martini glass. Garnish with 3 coffee beans.
