Irish Whiskey Cocktails

After Eight

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) White Crème de Cacao

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Crème de Menthe Liqueur

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Demerara Simple Syrup

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Hot Coffee

Stir. Garnish with whipped cream.

Anglican Communion

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Reàl Crisp Apple Syrup

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Honey Syrup

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Lemon Juice

  • 3 oz (90 ml) Club Soda or Sparkling Water

Combine ingredients in tin, shake and strain into a collins glass over fresh ice, top with soda. Garnish with a lemon wheel.

Bartenders Breakfast

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Jameson Caskmates Stout

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Kahlua Salted Caramel

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Cold Brew Coffee

  • ¼ - ½ oz (7.5 – 15 ml) Simple Syrup

Shake with ice and strain over fresh ice. Garnish with three coffee beans.

Bite Me I’m Irish

  • 3 oz (90 ml) Gator Bite Coffee Liqueur

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • 3 oz (90 ml) Cold Brew Coffee

Build in glass, add ice, and stir. Garnish with whipped cream.

Blarney Stone Smash

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Reàl Peach Syrup

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Lemon Juice

  • 1 barspoon Simple Syrup

    • Note - You could always use a mint simple syrup instead of fresh mint

  • 8 pcs Mint Leaves

Muddle mint in peach syrup, add remaining ingredients, and fresh nice.

Choco Coffee

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Jameson Cold Brew Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Chocolate Vodka

  • 3 oz (90 ml) Cold Brew Coffee

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Simple Syrup

Shake over ice.

Classic Irish Derby

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Carpano Antica Vermouth

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Orange Liqueur

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Lime Juice

  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Shake with ice, strain, and serve up. Garnish with lime twist.

Clover Club Daiquiri

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Simple Syrup

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Lime Juice

  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Shake & Serve Up. Garnish with grated nutmeg.

Donkey Kick

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Coffee Liqueur

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Guiness

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Pineapple Juice

  • 1 squeeze of Lemon

Shake over ice. Garnish with lemon twist.

Dublin Iced Coffee

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Stout Beer

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Cold Brew Coffee

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Simple Syrup

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Heavy Cream

Fill a glass with ice, add all ingredients except for the cream. Stir to combine. Slowly pour the cream over the top for the drink. Garnish with freshly grated cinnamon.

Irish Breakfast

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Coffee Liqueur

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Orange Juice

  • 1 Egg White

Separate egg white into one shaker tin and the remaining ingredients into the other, add a few ice cubes and shake for 30 seconds, strain out ice and shake for another 20 seconds. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with grated nutmeg.

Irish Coffee Old Fashioned

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Jameson Black Barrel Irish Whiskey

    • Alternative - Jameson Caskmates Stout

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Coffee Liqueur

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Simple Syrup

  • 1 dash of Angostura Bitters

  • 1 dash of Chocolate Bitters

Stir all ingredients with ice and strain over fresh ice. Garnish with an orange wheel.

Irish Eyes are Smiling

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Lemon Juice

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Honey Syrup

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) St. Elizabeth’s Allspice Dram

  • 2 dashes of Orange Bitters

Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a chilled glass over fresh ice. Garnish with cinnamon stick and a few whole cloves.

Irish Express

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Jameson Cold Brew

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Irish Cream Liqueur

    • Recommendation - Skip the Bailey’s, or the cheap stuff, and use Five Farms Irish Cream

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Orange Juice

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Honey Syrup

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Cold Brew Coffee

Shaken. Garnish with orange zest.

Irish Good-Bye

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Green Chartreuse

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Lime Juice

Shake & Serve Up. Garnish with lime twist.

Irish Highball

  • 2 oz (45 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • 4 oz (120 ml) Ginger Ale

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Lime Juice

  • 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters

Build out in highball glass. Garnish with lime wedge.

Irish Morning

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Bushmills Black Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Coffee Liqeuer

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Irish Cream Liqueur (My favorite is Five Farms)

Shake with ice, strain, serve up.

Irish Setter Iced Coffee

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Non-Dairy Milk (e.g. Oat, Soy, Almond)

  • 4 oz (120 ml) Cold Brew Coffee or Iced Coffee

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Old Fashioned Syrup

Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker briefly with ice, roll into pint glass. Garnish with whipped cream & chocolate sprinkles.

Irish Toddy

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Tawny Port

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Orange Liqueur

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Cinnamon Syrup

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Lemon Juice

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Hot Water

Combine all ingredients in a mug or toddy glass & stir. Garnish with an orange peel.

Irish You Were Here

  • 1.25 oz (37.5 ml) Tullamore D.E.W. Caribbean Cask

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Jameson Cold Brew

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Reàl Raspberry Syrup

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Lemon Juice

  • Combine all ingredients in shaker tin, shake with ice, roll into rocks glass. Garnish with raspberry and lemon wedge on cocktail pick.

Irishman Manhattan

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Bushmills Red Bush

    • Alternative - Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (e.g. Redbreast)

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Carpano Antica Vermouth

  • 2 dashes Orange Bitters

Stir with ice, strain, and serve up. Garnish with cocktail cherry.

Irishman in Canada

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • 2 drops Vanilla Extract

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Maple Syrup

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Lemon Juice

Shake with ice, strain, and serve up in a couple glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Irishman Screw Driver

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Grand Marnier or Bauchant Orange Liqueur

  • 2.5 oz (75 ml) Orange Juice

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Sparkling Water

Shake over ice and top with sparkling water. Garnish with lime wheel.

Lucky Lemonade

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Gator Bite Satsuma Rum Liqueur

  • 3 oz (90 ml) Finest Call Single Press Premium Lemon Sour

  • 3 oz (90) Lemon-Lime Soda

Combine all ingredients in an ice-filled pint glass and stir. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

Patty O’Patty

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Irish Single Malt Whiskey

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Amaro

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Carpano Punt e Mes

  • 4 dashes Orange Bitters

Stir ingredients with ice and strain into coupe glass. Garnish with orange zest.

Rio Nights

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Aperol

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Reàl Passion Fruit Syrup

    • Alternative - Passoã Passion Fruit Liqueur

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Honey Syrup

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Lemon Juice

Shake with ice, strain over fresh ice. Garnish with lemon wheel.

Rose & O’Connors

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Bushmills Black Bush

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Tequila Rose Liqueur

  • 3 oz (90 ml) Cold Brew Coffee

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Agave Nectar Syrup

Shake with ice, strain, and serve up. Garnish with rose pedal.

Salted Honey Iced Latte

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Irish Cream

    • Note - You can use heavy cream instead to reduce the alcoholic content

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Honey Syrup

    • Warm equal parts honey and water until combined into a syrup

  • 3 oz (90 ml) Cold Brew Coffee

  • 1 dash of Salt

Shaken with ice, strain over fresh ice.

St. Pat’s Feast

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Jameson Black Barrel

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Elderflower Liqueur

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Cinnamon Thyme Simple Syrup

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Lemon Juice)

  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters

  • 1 Egg White

Combine ingredients in tin, dry shake for 20 seconds, add ice, shake again, strain up into a coupe glass. Garnish with Thyme sprigs.

Stranger Tides

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Tullamore D.E.W Caribbean Cask

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Turbinado Sugar Simple Syrup

  • 3 dashes of Angostura Bitters

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Coconut Water

Shake with ice and strain over fresh ice. Garnish with lime wheel.

The Apple of My Irish

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Laird’s Bonded Applejack

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Cynar

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Simple Syrup

  • 1 dash of Orange Bitters

Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into chilled glassware. Garnish with orange twist.

The Day of the Festival

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Drambuie

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Orange Liqueur

  • ½ oz (15 ml) Lemon Juice

  • 3 oz (90 ml) Ginger Beer

Combine and shake ingredients, except ginger beer. Strain and pour over fresh ice. Top with ginger beer and garnish with lemon peel.

The Necessary Force

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Jameson Cold Brew

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Fresh Espresso

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Simple Syrup

  • 3 drops Chocolate Bitters

Shake with ice, strain, and serve up in a coupe or martini glass. Garnish with 3 coffee beans.

The Same Ol’ St. Pats Day Thing

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Irish Whiskey

  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Lemon Juice
